Policy


How to Shop

Each item has a thumbnail image; clicking on that image will take you to a larger view. Our items are vintage, not reproductions, and we endeavor to provide full and clear descriptions and photographs. If an item has flaws, we will note those. Our bakelite items are tested and guaranteed.

If you have questions about an item, please feel free to e-mail us at [email protected]. If you don't hear from us within 24 hours, please try again, or supply a telephone number where we may reach you, as sometimes e-mails do go astray or are intercepted by over-zealous spam filters (particularly AOL users). Due to time constraints, we cannot provide advice or appraisals on items you may have.

To order an item, please click the "Buy" button displayed on the item listing, which will place the item in your shopping cart. You can add and remove items to the shopping cart as long as your web browser remains open; if you close the browser, your shopping cart will expire. Be sure you include your contact information, including a telephone number, in case we have difficulty reaching you by e-mail.

When you are finished shopping, select "Checkout" to send your shopping cart order to us via e-mail. Your items will automatically be placed on hold. You will receive an automated e-mail acknowleding receipt of your order. We will also be in touch with you via personal e-mail to confirm your order and to provide additional information regarding payment and shipping options.

If you have any difficulty with the shopping cart, you may also e-mail your order, providing a description of the item and the sub-section where it is located.

If you do not receive a personal e-mail from us within 24 hours following your order, please feel free to contact us directly at [email protected]. Sometimes our e-mails are mistakenly intercepted by spam filters; this is especially true of AOL customers.

Jazzle Dazzle currently offers the following methods of payment:

  1. Paypal online payments (www.paypal.com). At this time, we are set up to receive credit card payments through Paypal only.
  2. Check, money order, traveler's check in U.S. funds sent to our snail mail address.


How to Pay
  1. For check or money order, you will receive information regarding your total and mailing address in our personal e-mail to you.
  2. If you are registered with Paypal online payment service, you can log into your account and instruct that payment be sent to [email protected]. If you prefer, we are happy to send an e-mail invoice through Paypal with easy, step-by-step clickable links that will assist you in the Paypal payment process.
Items will be held up to ten days pending receipt of payment, unless special arrangements have been made. After that time, items will be returned to inventory.


Special Requests & Jazzle Dazzle's Mailing List

Jazzle Dazzle now has a way for our customers to view recently added items: just go to our home page (www.jazbot.com/Jazz) and click on the link entitled "This Week's Additions." If you would like to receive e-mail notifications of items newly added, please feel free to e-mail us at [email protected] and we will be happy to add you to our private mailing list. No information collected is shared with anyone outside Jazzle Dazzle, and you may request to have your name removed at any time.

Layaway

Layaway is available for purchases over $200. Layaway terms are 1/3 non-refundable deposit (either by Paypal within 24 hours of ordering, or check or money order received within 7 days), 1/3 due within 30 days of your order date, and the balance due within 60 days of your order date. If payment is defaulted, items will be returned to inventory. We cannot accept returns on Layaway items; nor can we make substitutions.


Shipping Information

We will ship your order promptly, securely packed, by insured First Class or Priority postal mail within the United States. Overnight Express and gift-wrapping services are both available at additional charge. Any transit damage or loss is limited to the amount of the purchase price. We are happy to assist with filing an insurance claim for transit damage or loss, but the responsibility for filing the claim is the buyer's, particularly in the case of transit damage (the postal service will want to inspect the item and packaging). For Customers Outside the United States:

We ship to most countries worldwide, except where the United States Government prohibits shipping goods, or to countries which restrict or forbid imports of jewelry, or specific countries associated with high credit card fraud risk. We offer several shipping options, and shipping costs will depend on type of shipping requested. We will work closely with you to ensure that your order arrives safely, although some shipping options (such as Parcel Post) may take longer to arrive.

Please familiarize yourself with the customs regulations and laws of your country so there will not be any surprises awaiting you when you order merchandise by mail. Your order may be subject to import duty and taxes in your country, and these are your responsibility. We provide full and accurate disclosure on Customs Declarations forms, though we do note vintage costume jewelry as "used fashion accessories" to avoid jewelry being assessed as Fine Jewelry. Please do not request that we declare your order as a gift or "of no value."

If you disagree with any of the above, we regret that we will be unable to fill your order.


Guarantee and Return Policy

Jazzle Dazzle features primarily antique and vintage jewelry -- in other words, pre-owned and loved. We endeavor to sell jewelry in excellent condition; while vintage jewelry will not generally be "mint" condition and may show some signs of use, we do take care that pin, necklace and bracelet catches will open and close properly, earrings will have clips or posts in working condition, rhinestone jewelry will not have missing stones, plating and enameling are intact, etc. If jewelry is in less than fine condition, the descriptions will note specific flaws or repairs. Please be sure to read descriptions, condition and size information carefully. We are always happy to answer questions and work with you closely so that we can help you find the pieces that will suit you best.

All possible care is taken so that jewelry arrives as shipped. If you find that a stones have fallen out in transit, still in the sealed bag the jewelry arrived in, please do not be upset. If you can put the stones back yourself, be sure to use only proper jewelry cement (we recommend Hypo-Tube Cement) and not just any instant glue which may destroy their brilliance. With delicate Venetian glass and other fragile jewelry, we wrap and protect very carefully so they are essentially immobilized, and elements cannot jostle against each other.

Please do not return an item damaged in transit; contact us and we will assist you in filing an insurance claim with the U.S. Postal Service. If you are an international customer and waived insurance, then we cannot be responsible for items damaged in transit.

If an item does not meet your expecations, notify us by email at [email protected] immediately upon receipt for return authorization, and please send it back within TEN BUSINESS DAYS from date of your receipt. Upon satisfactory inspection, we will issue a prompt refund (or issue a website credit if you prefer), minus our shipping costs, provided the item has not been damaged or altered after your receipt. We cannot accept returns of jewelry damaged after your receipt, either by breakage, distortion, loss of stones or other parts, by application of testing acids or attempts to clean it. We cannot accept unauthorized returns. Please be sure to return all pieces of any matching set or combination-priced jewelry or other articles, preferably in original shipping package, and insured if it was shipped to you insured, using proper methods. Nor can we accept late returns, partial returns of matching sets or combinations or combination-priced jewelry lots.

Requests for Appraisals/Items for Sale

Jazzle Dazzle does not provide appraisals or make offers on jewelry for sale. If you have jewelry you would like to sell, by all means do contact us with pictures and asking prices.

Please note that we do not "buy back" or allow "trade-ins" of merchandise beyond the allowable return period. Thank you for shopping Jazzle Dazzle!

We do not link with websites offering only contemporary merchandise, website directory services, malls, or any website deemed to be irrelevant, and such requests will not be acknowledged due to time constraints.
