Vintage 1940's two-part music theme pin is very much like the Uri Mandle sterling set depicted in Brunialti's reference book "American Costume Jewelry," featuring a troubadour or minstrel, and musical treble clef. This chatelaine is done in plated base metal with glass cabs and clear rhinestone accents. Some wear to metal and plating, some foiling spots in the colored stones. Troubador is 2 3/4", the other piece, which includes a treble clef, sharp and note, measures 1 3/4". - $115

Extraordinary and rare male Victim of Fashion, made by the California Pottery Elzac Co. A venerable old Chinese man with white beard and colorful yarn turban; wood backing and metal pinback. Measures a total of 3 1/4" height. Condition is very good overall, with some mild scraping to the top of his head (possibly part of the turban is missing). Mild crazing to the ceramic glaze. - $120

Vintage Enameled Marching Band Drummer Figural Pin Outstanding and hard-to-find 1940's figural pin features a marching band drummer. Enamel on base metal with clear rhinestones. Unmarked, but reminds me of the DuJay marching band figurals. 2 5/8" total height. The front of the pin is in excellent condition apart from a few fleabites to the enamel; the back looks like it may have had a goldwash at one point that has mostly worn away.
