Early DeMario Blue Glass Bead & Clusters Necklace
Fantastic DeMario cobalt blue glass beaded necklace is a mini-work of art, with much more workmanship and elegance than could be captured in photos alone. There is quite a variety of beads in the two strands, including faceted cobalt blues, irregularly shaped and smooth rounds with a mottled lapis appearance, faceted iridescent beads in a steel blue, opaque "moonglow" blue beads, and an iridescent textured purplish-blue art glass beads. Center cluster of gilt leaves, dangling blue glass beads, blue glass rhinestones are wired to a filigree backing. The double strands are finished with a pair of blue rhinestones, then a decorated floral hook (stamped DeMario) and a beaded extension chain. Measures up to 17 1/2" in length. DeMario Style Color Changer Alexandrite Crystal Bead Necklace Outstanding alexandrite crystal glass beads change color depending on the light; under warm lighting the beads are the pale lavender color of alexandrite, while under fluorescent lighting the beads are a soft baby blue. Though unmarked, this is a quality piece that possesses DeMario characteristics. (If not a DeMario, then most likely a Robert or Eugene.) Two strands of beads are interspersed with rhinestone rondelles. The centerpiece is elaborate, with clusters of beads, rose montees, purple rhinestones, and gilt leaves with filigree backing. Clasp ends are decorated with tiny filigree "stations" with purple rhinestone floral clusters. 16 1/2" length with hook and beaded end chain for adjustable fit. DeMario Red Glass Beaded Clip Earrings
Vintage DeMario clip earrings are so pretty with vivid red glass beads. The beads come in different shapes and styles, with some wired together to create little flowerettes, others shapes like flowers, faceted rounds and branch-ettes, accented with gilt metal leaves and rose montees. Wired to a gilt filigree metal backing. Clip backs are marked DeMario in block letters. Circa 1940's/early 1950's. 1 1/8" diameter. Very good condition with minor plating wear to backs, inconspicuous surface wear to larger beads. - $125
DeMario Triple Strand Blue & Violet Crystal Bead Necklace
Heavy, well-made triple strand bead necklace by DeMario features blue and violet crystal and glass beads in shades of alexandrite, teal and aquamarine, with bluish-tinted faux pearls. The faux alexandrite beads subtly change hue with blue or violet overtones, depending on the lighting. Silvertone metal components include a rhinestone-set clasp with floral hook closure marked DeMario in block letters. 20 3/4". Excellent condition. - $140
