1940s Copa de Oro Ceramic Turbanned Lady Face Pin ~ MAZIE
Meet Mazie! Spectacular ceramic face pin brooch, circa 1940s, by California Pottery maker Copa de Oro. These face brooches are similar to those made by Elzac, and this lady has the characteristic cut-out eyes of Copa de Oro pieces. Her turban is a forest green color with metallic gold painted stripes; white ceramic spirals are glued on to her headdress and neckline. 3" in height with two-part embedded metal pin mechanism (c-clasp). Original stickers are still on the back which include the name of this gal. Excellent condition apart from mild surface crazing, typical of this age piece. - $120
1940s Copa de Oro Ceramic Face Pin ~ LIN
1940s ceramic face pin by California Pottery company Copa de Oro features an exotic beauty with gilded snake-like hair and tropical flower and leaves at the crown of her head. A paper label on the back proclaims her name to be Lin; she is one of several face pins produced by this company, very similar to the Elzac Victims of Fashion face pins. The Copa de Oro versions have cutouts for the eyes. Lin measures 3 1/4" height and has a large glued-on pin back. Very good condition with some light scrapes on the back and a small chip off the top of a flower on her head (not noticeable from normal viewing distance). - $120
