Reproduction Coro Deer Drinking from Water Brooch
Inspired by the famous 1940's Coro brooch depicting a deer drinking from water, this contemporary piece is goldtone, set with clear and colored rhinestones. This is a very dimensional piece, with the deer actually standing on a base measuring 1/2" deep. Clear rhinestone baguettes are set all along the front of the base, blue rhinestone baguettes suggest a waterfall, and there are pink rhinestone flowerettes. Goldtone metal. This wonderful Victorian Revival pendant necklace features a faceted glass center, reverse-cut and painted "goofus glass" with a bouquet of violets. Stamped brass frame has quite the ornate design. Ceramic Tropical Fish Pin ~ Candace Loheed ?
This large ceramic pin of a colorful tropical fish is unsigned, but very similar to the work of Candace Loheed who produced whimsical ceramic jewelry under the Ruby Z and Parrot Pearls names. This fish is a combination of stripes and polka dots, with a peach, gray, green and black color scheme. Loheed's lines did produce quite a few tropical fish theme items, although without a mark I cannot be sure that it was not produced by another maker. 2 1/4" height; glued-on metal pin back.
