Flying Colors, a ceramic jewelry company based in the San Francisco Bay area, was created by artists who had previously worked for Candace Loheed and her Ruby Z and Parrot Pearls lines. This piece, created circa 1980s/90s, was one of their top-line items. It consists of several beloved characters from Lewis Carroll's delightful story, each made into a bead pendant strung along with handmade black beads. There is Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Caterpillar on his Toadstool, Mr. Rabbit with his pocketwatch, the grinining Cheshire cat perched on a tree limb, and a teapot, cups and saucers. 19 3/4" with metal screw-barrel clasp; Flying Colors mark appears on the back of the caterpillar.
