This amazing unsigned SCHREINER brooch is gorgeous in spring-time yellow. Constructed in tri-form fashion, this 2 3/8" brooch features three dimensional clusters of stones: sideways-set large oval stripey yellow/white art glass cabochons, over-arching clusters of oval yellow glass cabs (some with a moonglow look), small yellow glass cabs, pale lemon yellow rhinestones. These stone clusters are set at the end of sculptural wires, and raised above a lower tier of dogtooth-pronged faceted opaque yellow glass cabs, stripey yellow/white glass navettes.
Truly, this intricate construction and creative use of stones and settings is a hallmark of Schreiner. All stones are present and in good color; there are a couple of places of plating loss and slight corrosion. The back of the piece shows some plating scratching and surface wear. This is observably upon close scrutiny; the overall effect of the piece is quite dazzling.
